With excitement building ahead of the Club’s upcoming FA Cup final we’re delighted to confirm that one of the LFC Mascots, who will walk out with the team at Wembley, will be an LFC Official Junior Member. Fabio will head out on loan

15/04/2012 00:35, Report by Adam Marshall Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that Fabio is set to leave the club on loan next season.  The Brazilian defender has had a couple of outings at Reserves level recently but has made only one Barclays Premier League appearance this year – as a second-half substitute for Patrice Evra in the 5-0 win at Wolves. The manager is wary that the 21-year-old needs regular football at this stage of his career and is willing to farm him out to another club in time for the 2012/2013 campaign. After appearing in the Champions League final against Barcelona last season, the full-back has made 15 appearances this term, with many of them coming in Europe or the Carling Cup.

LFC in Ghana: ‘Our fans are the best’

LFC in Ghana: 'Our fans are the best'

“If you see a Liverpool fan in Ghana then they’re a proper football fan, full of passion for the club and its history!” So says Leslie Nsakie-Kassim, President of the Ghana branch of the Official Liverpool Supporters Club, who insists that even though the Reds aren’t at the top of the footballing tree right now, the dedication of the club’s fans in this particular corner of the world remains total. Manchester United may have a large fan base within the west African country due to their recent successes and Chelsea may be able to boast Ghanaian hero Michael Essien in their ranks, but according to Kassim the Reds are still the number one. Speaking to Liverpoolfc.tv 24 hours before the club’s team of community coaches join Kop legend Ian Rush in a series of soccer clinics in association with main sponsors Standard Chartered in a bid to help improve the game at grass roots level, Kassim insists backing for the Reds in Ghana will always be unconditional.

Gallery: Good Friday training

06/04/2012 15:57, Report by Adam Bostock The recent April sunshine may have disappeared behind grey clouds on Good Friday but the Manchester United players still had a spring in their step on the training ground. Club photographers John and Matt Peters were granted exclusive access to the action at Carrington, where Sir Alex Ferguson and his coaching staff prepared the squad for Sunday’s meeting with Mark Hughes’ QPR. As you can see in our gallery – and on our official images website, www.manutdpics.com  - there was little sign of title-race tension as Rio Ferdinand, Patrice Evra, Ji-sung Park, the fit-again Nani and their team-mates found plenty to smile about
