United are in action at Moss Lane on Saturday afternoon but, for once, will not be the home team.
Warren Joyce’s Reds are taking on Altrincham in a 1pm kick-off in a bid to increase match sharpness ahead of next month’s encounter against Everton with no league fixture scheduled for the remainder of October. Alty are in seventh place in the Blue Square Bet North table.
The ticket prices for the friendly are £7 for adults, £4 for concessions and £2 for Under-12s. It’s pay on the day at the turnstiles.
United have been in superb form at reserve-team level since an opening day defeat to Arsenal, reeling off six wins on the spin before the goalless draw with Blackburn last Thursday.
