Fowler bids farewell to Oz

Robbie Fowler has today brought an end to his Australian adventure with Perth Glory.

The Reds legend has informed his club he will not be returning down under next season, citing personal reasons are behind his decision.
Fowler said: “Firstly, I’d like to show my appreciation to the chairman for his understanding.
“The chairman has been exceptional since I signed for the club, and I thank him for the opportunity to play for Perth Glory.
“I have a wonderful and loving family to consider and with the children in school, it’s best to keep them settled.
“I also need to stay in the UK to complete my coaching badges.
“I thank everyone at Perth Glory and in Western Australia for making me feel so welcome and I wish (manager) Ian Ferguson and the players all the best for the coming season.”
